International Gurjar Day

22 March

Gurjars all over the world are to celebrate 22nd March as International Gurjar Day. On this day Gurjar’s ancestor and greatest Gurjar Kushan king Kanishka had started a calendar on the occasion of his accession in 78 AD.

We are against any kind of caste violence and other types of sabotage and discrimination and have full faith in the integrity and constitution of India.

International Gurjar Day is celebrated with lots of love and happiness. On this day we wish the success of all Gurjar brethren. We celebrate International Gurjar Day by helping needy persons.

Our Culture

Gurjar is an ethnic agricultural and pastoral community of India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. They were known as Gurjaras during the medieval times, a name which is believed to have been an ethnonym in the beginning as well as a demonym later on.

Although they are able to speak the language of the region and country where they live, Gurjars have their own language, known as Gujari. They variously follow Hinduism, Islam, and Sikhism.

The Hindu Gurjars are mostly found in Indian states of Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab Plains and Maharashtra, while the Muslim Gurjars are mostly found in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Indian Himalayan regions such as Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Garhwal and Kumaon divisions of Uttarakhand.

Historical Place

Teli Ka Mandir

The Dravidian Aryan architectural style throughout North India is coordinated here in the form of the Teli temple at the Gwalior Fort height of about hundred feet. This is the highest altitude ancient temple of Liege Fort.

Built near Gangolatal, this temple is set on a huge crest. The top is narrow and rounded like a cylinder. The entrance of the temple is towards the east. There is a small pavilion inside the rectangular sanctum sanctorum.

In the lower part there are 113 miniature god cells which had valid statues of deities. The outer walls around the temple are ornamented with various shapes of animals, birds, flowers, leaves and goddesses. At some places, figures with demonic powers and statues are also written in love.
